  1. We have a project that requires new build with interior fit out but you don’t offer new build construction services, or do you?

    In short, yes we do.

    As part of the Morgan Sindall Group, Overbury is sister company to Morgan Sindall who specialises in construction, infrastructure and design projects across the private and public sectors.  We work alongside Morgan Sindall on projects that involve new build services as well as interior fit out and refurbishment through a Joint Venture Partnership; two companies working together on one project, doing what we do best to give you one simple solution.

  2. What does Overbury do?

    Commercial fit out and refurbishment in the office, retail, leisure, education and technology sectors. Whether your project is a quick refresh of a two-person office, a data centre upgrade or a complete overhaul of an elite hotel, we have the specialist team to do it for you.   4. Is there work that Overbury doesn't take on?

    If it's commercial fit out or refurbishment in the office, retail, leisure, education or technology sectors, there isn't much we don't do.

    But we’re not experts in new build or residential so we won’t do that. We don’t do heavy structural work either but we will recommend someone who can.

  5. I haven’t got millions to spend on my project. Can you still help?

    We certainly can. Whether your project is £5k or £70m+, we'll be delighted to do it and you can rest assured that you'll get the same high level of service, regardless of the size of your project.

  10. Can I see your accounts please?

    Overbury has a track record of financial stability and solid performance so we’re in good health. As part of Morgan Sindall Group plc, we have further backing and guarantees of security, should you need it.

  12. What do you do for the environment?

    We care about the environment and our impact on it. The construction industry doesn’t have the best reputation in this arena but we are working hard to change that. We have dedicated sustainability experts and train all our staff to meet the environmental needs of our projects. Some of our key headlines focus on reducing our carbon footprint, improving our waste management practices, using sustainable materials across our supply chain and securing BREEAM, LEED, and SKA ratings on all the projects we can. You can find out more here.

  13. How good is your Health and Safety record?

    Very good - year-on-year our incident rates have been decreasing.

    In 2010 our incident statistics show 0.19 accidents per 100,000 man hours and 460 reportable incidents rate per 100,000 operatives per year against industry figures of 726.

  14. Can I become part of the subcontractor delivery team?

    Our clients expect the very highest quality of service and we do all we can to meet, and exceed, their expectations. We are proud of our commitment to excellence and Perfect Delivery and expect our subcontractors to feel the same. 

    We never walk away from a job and a project is only finished once any snags are completed and manuals handed over. We also constantly track and maintain quality at every step. It is therefore important that you are as committed to professionalism, high standards and qualty as we are.

  16. How many people work for Overbury?

    About 500. We are very proud to say that we have the best staff retention rates in the industry.
    More than a quarter of our staff have been with us for more than 10 years!

  17. What is the history of Overbury?

    The business was started by Stanley Overbury who began trading in Westminster, London in 1942. His son, Michael, took over the business in the 1960s specialising in quality refurbishment and finishing. The family firm was bought by John Hooper and John Morgan in 1985 and strengthened in 1994 by the merger of Overbury, Morgan Lovell and William Sindall when parent company, Morgan Sindall, was formed.

  18. Do you just fit out and refurbish offices?

    No. While most of our work has traditionally been in the office sector we have specialised teams working across the retail, education, leisure and technology sectors as well.
