Overbury hosts seminar on The Future of Public Property
On 17th June, Overbury hosted a seminar entitled ‘Green Shoots – The Future of Public Property’, addressing the issues of effective estate management and property rationalisation in the public sector.
The event was organised in partnership with Governetz, specialists in the public sector reform programme.
Eight speakers presented and the seminar was attended by 36 senior property officials from local authorities and other public sector bodies.
The seminar took place in Peterborough, where the City Council is at the forefront of a ground-breaking public sector property initiative – The Peterborough Eco Hub. The Hub, due to be completed in 2014, will be a campus of offices where public sector organisations and private sector providers can cluster, share accommodation and provide more efficient public services.
