Taking 12 weeks to complete, the office project was carried out by national fit out and refurbishment firm Overbury under the Constructing West Midlands Framework.
Trevor Haynes, chief executive of Acivico, said the move represents an exciting time for the firm: “We are delighted to be settling into the new Acivico headquarters. Having our own building represents so much – an exciting new phase in the young life of Acivico, and what better showcase of our in-house talents than this sleek and professional environment for which we have provided architectural and interior design, engineering, project management and many more services from our own portfolio.
As well as symbolising Acivico’s culture change, it significantly reduces the business’s overheads and enhances the experience had by visiting customers and clients.
A total of 240 employees have made the move across the city, from the firm’s previous premises at One Lancaster Circus.
The fit out, delivered by Overbury, was undertaken across three floors, with Acivico’s new home boasting a contemporary reception, breakout areas and suite of meetings rooms on the ground floor. The second and third floors comprise of open plan office spaces with internal cellular offices, pods and further break-out spaces completed the modern design.
David Johnson, account manager of Overbury’s Birmingham-based team, said: “Our brief was to create a working environment which reflects Acivico’s core values and its ethos of helping clients achieve optimal value, quality and innovation.
“Having worked alongside Acivico on a number of projects, including the Library of Birmingham, we are very familiar with how the team works so we felt perfectly placed to complete the fit out of Louisa House.”
Works included the installation of new glazed partitioning to form offices and meeting rooms, as well as creating feature ceilings in specific areas. Other touches that help to create a modern feel include new flooring, wall finishes and feature graphics.
Acivico is a multi-service company, which offers clients across the private and public sectors a range of services including design, construction, facilities management and building control, with catering, cleaning and laboratory services joining the portfolio in April 2015.
