This 8,000sq ft CAT B office fit out project was on the 7th floor at the iconic 45 Church Street, Birmingham. The project represented the expansion of Hymans Robertson, specialists in the occupational pensions market, into a new location in Birmingham thus raising the company profile and offering an improved way of operating.
Hymans Robertson required a working space for 70 staff, with access to quiet rooms and copy points. The desk layout was designed to form a chequer board format in groups of no less than six people and it was requested that the open plan layout of the office be visible, yet inaccessible, to clients.
The client meeting space, designed by Overbury, caters for four person meetings as well as providing a larger entertainment area, catering for up to 60 staff members and visitors. As with most offices, the reception area is the first opportunity for face to face contact with potential clients so getting the balance right between achieving a sharp and professional look without being too clinical was crucial for Hymans Robertson.
