Data Centre Fit Out, Infrastructure Upgrades and Mission Critical Projects

Technology Fit Out, Design and Build Services

The demand for secure data storage, changing technology requirements and clients upgrading their existing infrastructure has seen considerable growth in the technology market in recent years with the trend expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Rapid technological progress with virtualisation finally hitting the mainstream and cloud services being adopted should create huge opportunities for the technology industry.

Overbury's response to these opportunities has been to establish a dedicated specialist team to manage services-driven refurbishments, infrastructure upgrades and data centre fit outs.

Overbury's Technology team is led by Matthew Quill and Sean O'Boyle who have over 60 years experience between them of delivering technological fast track infrastructure fit out and refurbishments for clients including BT, Deutsche Bank AG, UBS, Deloitte, Standard Life, JP Morgan Chase and Helical Bar.

The team's experience covers everything from creating new data centres and disaster recovery facilities to upgrading or replacing mechanical, electrical or IT infrastructure whilst buildings are fully occupied.

Our technical services specialists and project managers understand the specific requirements on what can often be very complex and technical projects.

Sustainable Data Centres

Overbury Technology aims to establish a new approach to building energy efficient data centres whilst reducing pollution and environmental damage. Where appropriate we can utilise existing buildings for infrastructure that can be populated by a standalone data centre or a number of modules co-locating in the same building.

Depending on the procurement route we will aim to reduce power by influencing the design process through a sustainable thought process. Pre-fabrication and a modularisation speeds up delivery to the end user and flexibilty of the module allows it to be relocated.

Our goal is to produce data centres that fit organisations' growing energy efficiency needs by incorporating efficient design techniques such as energy saving flywheel UPS's, remote BMS for climate control, smart cooling with hot and cold aisles circulating fresh air in different sequences depending upon external temperatures and pollution levels.

Power efficiency is at the forefront of our thought process when discussing design with clients; Overbury Technology's aim is to achieve a power usage effectiveness level in line with the industry target of 1.3 and significantly below the average data centre PUE of 2.5.
