Property professionals from across the West Midlands gathered for Overbury's charity music night in Birmingham for what turned out to be an evening bursting with entertainment.

The event was Overbury’s fourth music night in the region, and for the third consecutive year the fit out contractor supported Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The event was funded by a variety of sponsors from Overbury’s supply chain, who helped cover the venue hire and overhead costs, ensuring all the money raised could go to charity.

More than 200 guests enjoyed live performances throughout the night from six vocalists, two bassists, keyboardists as well as a saxophonist and trumpet player. They were supported Ohio, which features Overbury operations director Gordon Wakeling on the drums.

The night featured 37 songs from a variety of artists such as Oasis, The Rolling Stones, The Killers, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, The Stereophonics, Simple Minds, The Kinks, Stevie Wonder, Robert Palmer, U2, Cameo, Squeeze and many more.

The night is a great opportunity to help raise money for a great cause, said Overbury managing director Julian Lebray.

He added: “The night was a fantastic success raising £3,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, a very worthy cause. We had a great time showcasing the fantastic musical talent in our industry.”

Elinor Eustace, deputy director of fundraising at Birmingham Children’s Hospital said: “We want to say a massive thank you to Overbury for this fantastic donation. The money raised will make a big difference to the lives of our children and their families, as we continue our plans to improve our facilities – enabling us to treat even more children from the West Midlands and around the country.”
