As part of its expansion strategy, IMG Media asked us to fit out a three-storey, 1980s steel-frame building.
To provide state-of-the-art media facilities and flexible ways of working, we carried out extensive modifications to 107,000 sq ft of space. Covering three floors linked by existing full-height atrium glazing, the project included creating a new media studio, an editing suite, general office space, and catering facilities.
We installed a new entrance to the rear of the building, and erected an external satellite farm, complete with a new generator. Our specialist team coordinated all elements of the media installation, and liaised with IMG’s own media contractors. We incorporated cutting-edge media infrastructure and equipment into the architectural elements, all to the highest acoustic standards.
To test the acoustics, we produced mock-ups and benchmarks, and carried out rigorous quality inspections. We’re also proud of the project’s environmental achievements: we reused, recycled or recovered 77% of the waste generated, diverting 49.1 tonnes of waste from landfill.
