The definition of a designer workplace.

Link Asset Services wanted an office fit out to attract new talent and to match its employee-focused culture. They chose Central Square in the centre of Leeds as the location for their new Northern Hub, which would house over 700 team members. It was our job to turn this into a dynamic and collaborative new workplace in just over five months.

A space for everyone

This new space represents the company’s professional and collaborative approach to working. A key aim of the new fit out was to empower employees through providing different working environments to support agile and activity-based working.

The first floor is the ‘brain’ of the office, with dedicated training areas, along with flexible breakouts spaces, a fully-equipped kitchen, an informal presentation area and a variety of meeting spots.

The open plan area around the central staircase is perfect for informal meetings, team catchups or even solo work with a coffee from the adjoining kitchen.

Rising up

The oak-clad staircase joins the first, second and third floors of the fit out together, enabling staff to move about with ease from breakout spaces through to meeting areas and traditional workspaces.

The second and third floors are considered the ‘heart’ of the office, complete with open plan workstations, dedicated meeting rooms and private office suites.

The central staircase is integral in joining these areas together, promoting communication and collaboration throughout the office.

The top floor is all about providing clients with a 'wow' factor and creating a great experience and first impression. On this level, we built a client-facing reception, boardroom and meeting rooms, all finished with high-quality materials, fixtures and furniture.

Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light that's reflected from the light hardwood floors. Carpets were installed in the meeting rooms and waiting areas to aid in dampening excess noise and acoustics.

Right from the outset, our team was focused on providing the highest level of quality to Link Asset Services. To ensure they were happy with all of the chosen finishes, we set up a sample room on site with examples of fixtures, fittings and finishes. We were responsible for installing engineered timber floors, timber wall panelling, fabric acoustic walls and a range of bespoke joinery items including a reception desk, seating booths, bespoke kitchens and tiered seating.

Our team also organised workshop visits and collaborative design development sessions to make sure all bespoke elements hit the brief perfectly. And, in addition, we also plotted a detailed manufacturing schedule which was reviewed weekly with the joinery manufacturer to help the team meet deadlines.
