The WELL Building Standard assesses how your workplace improves the physical and mental wellbeing of your staff and visitors. With this focus on people and wellbeing, the WELL standard incorporates everything from air quality and acoustics, to how your office promotes physical movement and mental wellbeing. Our in-house environmental team have delivered a number of WELL projects of varying sizes. Our trained WELL APs work with our designers to incorporate WELL standards into our designs and fit outs; promoting health and wellbeing for all.
We have achieved Gold level membership in The 5% Club's 2024-25 Employer Audit Scheme. The 5% Club is a movement that brings together employers dedicated to creating ‘earn and learn’ opportunities, aiming to build a skilled, socially mobile and cohesive workforce for the future. We are dedicated to reducing our carbon emissions and energy consumption. As part of the Morgan Sindall Group, Overbury was the first construction company in Europe to have our Science Based Targets ratified. These are based on quantifiable data to ensure we can achieve a reduction in carbon emissions based on the Paris Agreement. Our targets are to reduce scope one and two emissions by 11% by 2025 based on a 2016 baseline, and to reduce our scope three emissions by 9% by 2025 based on a 2016 baseline.

We have delivered more than 150 fit outs that have achieved a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Assessment Method) rating. Our in-house BREEAM APs and assessors can guide you through the entire process; from deciding which rating to go for, to meeting the BREEAM criteria through responsibly sourcing materials, achieving acoustic standards, and ensuring your new space effectively uses energy and water.

SKA is a unique environmental assessment method that evaluates the environmental impact of a fit out, without assessing the base build, or areas outside the scope of the project. Overbury has in-depth knowledge of SKA; having delivered over 170 SKA certified fit outs, and also being the only design and build company on the SKA technical committee. This means we actively help shape the future of SKA and play a lead role in sustainable office design. We have in-house SKA assessors who are able to provide support and knowledge throughout the design and construction of your new office to help achieve your target rating.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an American environmental assessment method that reviews the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of offices. LEED is occasionally favoured by American and international clients who look to achieve an accreditation across their international portfolio. Our in-house environmental team will work with your project team to ensure your new fit out meets both the US and UK standards required by LEED.
We’ll do everything to make your project environmentally sound – both on site and behind the scenes. Our best practice environmental procedures have been ISO 14001 certified since 2005, and were one of the first companies to transition to the 2015 standard. All of our projects are incorporated into our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system, actively helping to minimise the environmental impact of fit out projects. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the leading international standard for regulating data security through a code of practice for information security management. Being certified is an official recognition for adhering to the highest internationally recognised information security standard.
