Orega aims to lead the competition in providing flexible, modern office spaces by offering best-in-class workplaces. For their Newcastle hub, they wanted a space that could be personalised to meet the diverse needs of their tenants while maintaining a corporate co-working feel. The brief emphasised the need for a fit out that prioritised creating a platform for tenants to improve productivity and communication.

Flexibility and growth at the core

Collaborating closely with Orega, the overarching design concept focuses on flexibility and growth, allowing office suites to be reconfigured with minimal hassle. We have maximised the floorplate, creating space for 400 desks across two storeys. Partition walls can be moved to create larger or smaller suites as required. This adaptability means the office environment can grow and evolve with the businesses it houses, providing long term value and convenience for tenants and Orega.

Focusing on Orega’s desire for a best-in-class space, we paid attention to every detail. We integrated the latest technology and focused on acoustics to give tenants peace of mind when discussing confidential matters. A choice of quiet spaces provide the opportunity to escape and focus. Beyond your everyday office space, floors have access to stunning communal areas that are both functional and inviting, all featuring modern finishes and comforts. A stylish lounge area with cushioned chairs and sofas is perfect for casual meetings and space away from desks. The kitchen and dining areas, with sleek fittings and large communal tables, are ideal for socialising. Hanging plants and ambient lighting create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

St James Gate is Orega's first flexible accommodation in Newcastle and it sets the tone for their expanding portfolio.
