Project description

Facing the imminent prospect of a lease expiry, Turner & Townsend were keen to relocate to a new office space in Manchester that could support hybrid working. The desire was for an environment that inspired creativity whilst providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for their people. The new office at 11 York Street provides the perfect base for the team to meet, collaborate and focus on client projects.

Radiant office evolution

Turner & Townsend's new space features a sweeping open plan arrangement, with a fully glazed entrance that provides natural light and a welcoming atmosphere. The design leverages as much of the natural light as possible to create a bright, airy and diverse array of work settings. This offers flexibility for individuals and collaborative zones for teams working on client projects. The quiet booths, dynamic meeting rooms and convenient touchdown spaces cater to various needs and situations. We also provided traditional workspace with secure, soundproof meeting rooms that ensure privacy and confidentiality when necessary.

Finishing touches

We delivered a bespoke furniture package including new seating, desking and soft furnishings. As a nod to the office's location, we included a mural graphic revealing facts and figures about Manchester. Together with bespoke joinery, technology integration and furniture delivery, Turner & Townsend now have an office that embraces the ideals of a modern workplace.
