We delivered a fit out in the Leadenhall Building to create space for the next phase of a financial organisation's next phase of growth. By expanding into an additional floor and refurbishing its existing workplace, the updated workplace is a connected, high quality environment that supports staff, clients and future expansion while remaining fully operational throughout the project.

To accommodate projected future growth, our client extended its lease within the Leadenhall Building and took on an additional floor. This provided an opportunity to create a workplace that’s ready for future expansion while improving the experience for both staff and visitors.

We delivered a modern, connected environment across three floors while allowing the business to continue operating throughout the works through a carefully planned phased programme that enabled staff to move between floors as each area was being refurbished.

Delivering refurbishment in an occupied building

The refurbishment included a full strip out of existing finishes and services across levels 27, 28 and 29, followed by the fit out of a high quality new workplace throughout.

Levels 27 and 29 are working floors, supporting both focused and collaborative work through open plan workspaces, private offices, meeting rooms, tea points and print areas. Level 28 is now a client focused destination at the centre of the workplace. The floor incorporates the main reception, executive meeting rooms, flexible event spaces with folding walls, a client lounge and a staff social hub. 

To improve connectivity between floors, a new staircase was installed between levels 27 and 28, while the existing staircase between levels 28 and 29 has been upgraded to complement the new design.

Ready for future growth

Delivered through eight sectional handovers, the completed workplace provides our client with a sophisticated and flexible environment designed for the future. Completed to BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum targets, the refurbished Leadenhall workspace provides a strong platform for the organisation's continued growth.
