Home Case studies Wise
Wise has relocated its London office to Worship Square, expanding its office space by 40% to support over 1,000 employees. After more than eight years at the Tea Building on Shoreditch High Street, Wise decided to move to a dynamic nine-storey building on Clifton Street, also in Shoreditch. Designed to support collaboration and innovation, Worship Square provides a forward-thinking workplace that aligns with Wise’s evolving needs. The company now occupies five of the building’s eight floors.
Wise moved from Shoreditch High Street to a larger home at Worship Square with a clear ambition to create a healthy, agile base for its people and partners. The innovative new workspace supports a wide mix of activities while reflecting the character of the company and its roots in Shoreditch.
The fit out spans five floors, all linked by a bold staircase in Wise’s signature green colour. The ground floor welcomes visitors with a reception area, a multi purpose meeting suite with full AV capability and a dedicated control room. Across the other floors, a choice of meeting rooms, focus rooms and breakout spaces supports different ways of working, while bold finishes take cues from Wise’s identity and its Shoreditch origins.
Wise’s wellbeing facilities make this office stand out from the crowd. The space includes a fully integrated sauna inspired by Wise’s Estonian founders, nap pods and a large breakout area with games and food preparation zones designed to bring people together.
Early engagement with the project partners helped create a strong team from the outset. Workshops and social activities brought everyone together, supporting quick, well informed decisions throughout the project. We also completed factory visits with the joinery subcontractor and architect to make sure quality met expectations.
Getting the staircase at the heart of the office perfect was a key target. During the tender period, we reviewed the original concept and proposed a revised approach that reduced carbon by 11 tonnes and reduced the total programme duration. To give Wise and the design team confidence in the new strategy, we built a full scale mock up to test the structure’s look and performance.
The finished headquarters is a confident, functional and characterful space that reflects Wise’s values and gives the business a strong platform for future growth. It brings together brand, wellbeing and flexibility to support Wise’s people today and in the years ahead.
