Charitable end to 2015 for Overbury

On-site fundraising, festive jumpers, bake sales and even a shopping centre pop-up toy store have been hosted throughout December by Overbury teams wishing to give back.

The team refurbishing an office for Hampshire Police in Winchester has raised more than £3,000 for MacMillan. Money was raised through a series of on-site initiatives including coffee mornings and donation boxes, with contracts manager Marc Norrie and project manager Joe Perella spearheading the fundraising drive.

Further afield in Edinburgh, a fit out team has worked with subcontractors Lincliff and Q Ceilings to set up and run a toy store in support of Sick Kids Foundation at the Gyle shopping centre. So far over £2,500 has been raised and donated on behalf of the charity to Edinburgh Children's hospital, a fantastic result.

Sometimes it’s the smallest gifts that make the biggest difference. In Bristol, a refurbishment team based locally for the duration of a high-profile fit out donated a Christmas tree and decorations to a children’s hospital.

Back at Overbury’s headquarters in central London, office based staff donned their finest Christmas threads, jumpers and head gear in aid of Save the Children. The firm’s London teams were also encouraged to donate clothing, food and toiletries to Whitechapel Mission, exceeding previous year’s collections with more than 15 bags and 10 boxes filled.
