Home News Charity Music Night Opens Festive Season
Thursday, 23rd November 2017
Annual London music night ends on a high note raising £21,500 for charity.
Overbury’s 10th charity music night in London last week raised £21,500 for Maia Mouse Foundation, Parkinson’s UK and Teenage Cancer Trust – a record amount for the annual event.
The sold out gig for over 800 guests was held at London’s famous nightclub, Ministry of Sound, and featured performers and musicians from the fit out industry on stage with Overbury’s own band, Ohio. The interval set was performed by The Iterations from architectural firm Sheppard Robson.

Gordon Wakeling, Overbury’s operations director and Ohio’s resident drummer comments: “I’m overwhelmed by the support we’ve had this year from sponsors, musicians and our friends from around the fit out industry. We raised a record amount for this year’s nominated causes, which makes all the hard work well worth it – these incredible charities can continue their inspiring work with an extra £21,500 boost from the fit out industry.”
Over the years, the London Overbury music night has raised £121,000 for 18 charities including Make-A-Wish, Shooting Star Chase, Alzheimer’s Society, British Liver Trust and Diabetes UK. Earlier this month, the 5th annual Birmingham charity music night was held raising £2,400 for Solihull Young Carers – together the two events have raised £132,500 over the years. In addition to London and Birmingham, Manchester’s Overbury team will host their inaugural concert in spring next year with the support of the regional consultant and professional community.
