Overbury Charity Quiz 2026 raises £625,000 for incredible causes

Fit out industry partners come together at the Overbury Charity Quiz 2026, raising £625,000 for 21 charities, and now the Overbury team celebrates by presenting cheques to each of this year’s charity beneficiaries.

When our fit out and charity champions, Richard Goddard and David Duffy, hosted the first quiz five years ago, the aim was simple: bring people together and raise what they could for good causes. What followed has far exceeded expectations. Including this year’s total, the Charity Quiz series has now raised an incredible £1.5 million in just five years.

A night that’s become a real highlight

The Overbury Charity Quiz has grown into a fixture in the calendar and 2026 was no exception. Tables sold out once again, the venue was packed and the atmosphere carried through the evening. While the format stayed familiar, a few well timed surprises helped make this year’s event feel fresh and memorable.

The charities supported in 2026

This year’s fundraising is being shared between the following charities, each doing impactful, life changing work:

Advance, Article 25, The Charlie Waller Trust, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, Garden House Hospice Care, Held In Our Hearts, Help for Heroes, Helping Hands Community Project, Literacy Pirates, London Youth, Make‑A‑Wish® UK, Small Steps, St Clare Hospice, Stroke Association, Stonewall, Teenage Cancer Trust, The Children’s Trust, The Indee Rose Trust, The Respite Association, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.

A collective effort

Putting on an evening like this takes real teamwork. We were supported by Echelon Group International, Aston Band and broadcaster Mark Durden‑Smith, who helped us deliver more than just a quiz.

The Overbury Charity Quiz is down to Richard Goddard and David Duffy, who have grown the event and its fundraising every year. Their work on the Overbury Charity Quiz and the Neuro Ambassadors Schools Programme was recognised with the Best Innovation Award at the BPIC Network Awards 2025, highlighting the wider impact of what they have built.

Big thanks also go to the wider team who helped make the 2026 event happen, both behind the scenes and on the night itself: Richard Goddard, David Duffy, Fleur Locke, Rebecca Bradshaw, Barry Parrott, Tom Osmond, Giancarlo Gaglione, Treasa Dickson and Grace Elliott. Every role played a part in delivering another successful evening.

Thank you

The event is always a success because our industry friends come together, buy tickets, donate and sponsor the Quiz. This isn't something we take for granted. This event would not be possible without the continued support of our sponsors. Your backing helps turn one evening into meaningful funding for charities that change lives every day.
