DLA Piper moves into state-of-the-art office in Paradise Birmingham development.

DLA Piper has completed its move to 2 Chamberlain Square. Located in the Paradise Birmingham development, the region’s only global law firm now occupies the top two floors of the landmark building.

Commenting on the move, Birmingham Managing Partner, Trevor Ivory, said;

“I am delighted to have welcomed our people into 2 Chamberlain Square. The move has also given us an opportunity to make our business as inclusive and sustainable as possible, with these issues being at the heart of our vision from the outset. The pandemic has complicated the move, but it also challenged our assumptions and gave us the opportunity to think about what our clients and people will need from an office in future. The location is second to none and is a visible statement of our confidence in the region.”

Andy Street, the Mayor of the West Midlands, said;

“This move by DLA Piper reflects the huge confidence that businesses still have in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region despite the challenges of the pandemic. I wish DLA Piper all the best at their new home in Paradise and look forward to working with them in the coming months and years.”

Overbury delivered a fully flexible work space, reflecting the post pandemic work culture of splitting time between home and office, and features innovative tech throughout. There is also a 30 person boardroom, a dedicated client suite with private dining options and flexible conference facilities for 100 people, plus a stunning terrace with panoramic views of Birmingham.

Andrew Wood, Managing Director for fit out contractor Overbury, said;

“DLA Piper is a globally recognised business and to work alongside them to deliver a best in class office space at 2 Chamberlain Square has been exciting. By working alongside our partner we have been able to create a space that has a heavy focus on collaboration and putting employees in the best position to deliver their work. At the same time we’ve delivered a modern, inviting space that is also eco-friendly and energy efficient.”

The décor features planting throughout both floors and botanic tones reflecting Paradise’s history in the city as medieval fields. There are also intricate gold and bronze accents on fretwork, lighting, curtains and carpets all designed to capture the work of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
