Overbury completes fit out at RCP's new 'healthy' home in The Spine

The Royal College of Physicians' new northern home at The Spine in Liverpool is set to become one of the healthiest buildings in the world - it's on track to achieve WELL Platinum and BREEAM Outstanding accreditations. Overbury is proud to have worked on this momentous project alongside RCP, architects AHR and lead consultants CBRE.

The Spine is located in Paddington Village, part of the Knowledge Quarter, in the heart of Liverpool's city centre. RCP at The Spine is a stunning 75,000 sq ft space with office, education and conference space and is spread over seven of the 14 storeys. It's made history as the first Grade A office in Liverpool City Region for over a decade.

RCP at The Spine's eco-credentials are boosted by three double-height spaces on the ground, 10th and 12th floors, with planters containing high-oxygen-producing plants to improve the internal environment. Overbury is proud to provide RCP at The Spine with a huge variety of rooms available for hire for conferences, events and a fine dining space on the 13th floor with unrivalled views of Liverpool.

A dedicated exhibition space on the first floor connects via a staircase to a ground floor café and foyer, while the higher floors, which are circa 11,550 sq ft, will enjoy some of the best views of the city, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.

Liverpool’s new Mayor, Joanne Anderson, and the City Region’s Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram celebrated its completion on Friday 21 May 2021, taking a tour of the building and meeting young apprentices who have worked with us to complete this innovative fit out.
