Overbury’s performance in 2021 has been strong. The focus on delivering high quality projects with a superior customer experience has cemented its position as a leading fit out provider for occupiers and landlords in the commercial office, education, life sciences and public sector markets.

Group revenue rose 6% from 2020, delivering an adjusted operating profit of £131.3m (FY 2020: £68.5m) on revenue of £3.2bn (FY 2020: £3.0bn). The Group reported a secured order book of £8.6bn, up 4% on the year end. With a strong balance sheet and net cash of £358m (FY 2020: £333m), the Group is confident of achieving another good year of progress in 2022."

Significant projects won or started on site in 2021 include:

  • The office fit out of 366,000 sq ft at Five Bank Street in Canary Wharf
  • BP’s new 200,000 sq ft space in the North Colonnade building in Canary Wharf
  • The fit out of 30,000 sq ft in The Leadenhall Building for landlord Quadrature Capital
  • The delivery of the BBC’s 56,000 sq ft Bristol office

Notable project completions include:

  • The 186,457 sq ft fit out for BT at 3 Snowhill in Birmingham, with the subsequent appointment to deliver BT’s 200,000 sq ft office in Bristol
  • The 90,000 sq ft CAT A fit out in Coventry for landlord IM Properties
  • The fit out of 93,000 sq ft offices, sales and support facilities for Mathworks in Cambridge

The public sector portfolio continues to expand with:

  • The 12,000 sq ft refurbishment of the North West Regional Control Centre for National Highways (formerly Highways England)
  • The continued framework for The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) including multiple projects secured totalling £38.4m, with an additional £40.7m secured for 2022 and beyond
BT at 3 Snowhill in Birmingham
