Overbury delivers first project in new University of Warwick framework

Overbury has completed the fit out and refurbishment of eight lecture theatres and an M&E and plant room in the Faculty of Social Sciences buildings. Works included the configuration of new tiered and collaborative bench-style seating, curved and angular lighting and the installation of other technical equipment.

The project was delivered in partnership with architects Berman Guedes Stretton, and engineering consultancy Couch Perry Wilkes.

It is the first project to be commissioned by the University of Warwick through a new framework, which will deliver design and build projects focused on the development and refurbishment of the Russell Group University’s existing estate.

Overbury will work in partnership with Warwick on its ambitious plans to “create a campus of the future”, offering world-class facilities to students, staff and visitors.

Overbury has delivered several projects on behalf of the University of Warwick in the past ten years. They include the internal refurbishment of University House and the Ramphal Building, the five-phase refurbishment of Senate House, two projects at the Warwick School of Business and the repurposing of existing space at the School of Engineering into high-spec laboratories.

The office fit out and refurbishment specialist is one of three providers to be selected as part of the five-year building refurbishment framework.
